Hi Everyone,
Sorry for my first post being a question/request, but does anyone know of a website that provides a PER calculator where I could change certain stats of a player and re-calculate their PER for a given season? I am having trouble finding some of the components of the PER calculation, primarily the league stat components, so that I can create this type of calculator myself.
Thanks in advance for anyone's insight! I look forward to contributing more to this forum. |

So after no luck finding a calculator that already exists, I put one together. If anyone's interested, I put a link to it below from my google docs. I checked the calcs against actual stats from the 2009-10 season, and it looked to be calculating correctly. I set it up to calculate off per game stats but you can easily enter total season stats for the player in the column next to it as well. Thanks to basketball-reference.com for the tutorial.

i would love to view your per calculator. i tried clicking on the link and it led me to a blank page saying document is not available. is the link you typed in correct?

I am interested in this as well. Offensively speaking, I think PER does a great job of ranking players historically. |
