Pelton’s Place

Sonics will be short handed tonight for sure. Cavs may be too. No word yet on whether LBJ will play for sure.

It worked last time, so I’ll just say …

Shipoopi!

    LeBron will not play tonight.

  3. Mr Baker Says:

no bron, sonics blow them out
    104-91
13 is a blowout for the Sonics at this point.

  4. Z4EC Says:

Watson 8 assists after the 1st quarter. If he goes on to get 20 assists for the game I promise I will not knock him for his stupid on-court decisions again until the end of the month.

  5. Sam Says:

Hahaha, Z4EC, do you know the end of the month is tomorrow?

  6. Z4EC Says:

    Is it? :-)

Back to back sick passes by Luke. That alley-oop pass to Wilcox would not have happened if watson was running the point.

  7. SeattleFan91 Says:

Hey isn’t there suppose to be a Sonics Rally Saturday? I heard there was an Nate Robinson might make an apperance. Heard it a while ago on the ESPN Boards.

  8. Z4EC Says:

One problem with Petro. When he’s posting up and backing down on the defender, he always looks down at the floor instead of trying to find open teammates.

It’s funny that people bitch about Earl Watson, as he’s been a more prolific passer than Luke Ridnour throughout his entire career. Watson dishes out dimes at a higher rate than “The Golden Child,” but most folks are seemingly ignorant to that fact.

Watson also isn’t prone to committing turnovers, for that mark of futility goes to Kevin Durant, Jeff Green, and Delonte West. A lot of dense people nevertheless think that Watson isn’t a satisfactory floor general, however, which is due to their own idiocy.

  10. epx Says:

FYI there have been MANY alley oops from Earl to Wilcox throughout the year. Give it a rest…

  11. Z4EC Says:

I didn’t say watson is capable of throwing alley-oop passes. But c’mon did you NOT watch that play from Luke to Wilcox?

  12. epx Says:

Kurt just proved that anyone can throw a lob to Wilcox…

  13. Z4EC Says:

That pass from Luke to Wilcox wasn’t your traditional alley-oop dunk opportunity (like the one watson just passed to Thomas). It was on a fast-break but both Luke and Watson were closely guarded. They were about to run out of space and Wilcox just flipped up his finger for a split second signalling for an alley-oop and there it was Luke deilivered him the ball for a nasty dunk. The angle and difficulty of that pass would not have been achieved by watson.

  14. epx Says:

Okay z4 if your point is that Luke is a better passer than Earl, then I concede. Luke is better than alot of people in that regard. I disafree though that is was a play that others on the team couldn’t make though(it wasn’t THAT great imo), and the pass was Thomas to Wilcox for the alley oop that I was talking about, not Earl to KT…

  20. speedcat Says:

OMG Wilcox has 18 and 10. Watson with 11 assts and only 1 turn.

  21. speedcat Says:

    Free Petro!

  22. speedcat Says:

is this really happening again? IE supes winning, disappear in 4th?

  23. SeeJ Says:

    What is happening? :(

  24. adp Says:

    Jeff Green so far:

    8-8 with 17 points.

  25. Alex Chan Says:

I suppose nights like tonight are why many in the NBA still contend that Kobe is the “better” player than LeBron. Couldn’t LeBron have played tonight? He missed five games already for an injury to a finger on his non-shooting hand. Even if he plays only twenty-four minutes coming off the bench, the Cavs probably win tonight.

A lot of Sonics will experience a little bump to their shooting percentages after this game.

  26. JeffinCali Says:

Wow well we almost blew it, but once again we beat a team who is totally depleted. At least we are winning the ones that we should win. I think the next 2-3 games are very winnable for the Supes. NYK, Bulls, Kings should be games that are close.

He went 8-8 for the game. What a great game for Jeff!

  28. adp Says:

Not to ruin the party, but the Oklahoma mayor will be called on during the Sonics-Seattle lawsuit. He is ’shocked’ about it, saying he has nothing to do with the situation at hand and wouldnt know how he could help anything. See Bennett’s paper for details.

  29. epx Says:

How does that ruin the party? I would think it could be a good thing if he’s forced to answer questions under oath, regarding the situation. I’d be curious to see the answers to questions regarding conversations he may have had with Clay Bennett before he bought the team, and since, and what those conversations were about exactly…

  30. adp Says:

Ruin the party in reference to dragging this offtopic. Ive had posts deleted for whatever reason and I figured maybe its because they were slightly offtopic. (mentioning Gelabale going to the DLeague in a GThread, for example)

  31. MartinH Says:

I agree. That should make for some rather amusing testimony.
    You bet they’ve been chatting.

  32. montanasupesfan Says:

    he’ll just lie as expected.
    Another win- i’ll take it!

  33. Steve Says:

“Thanks for deleting my post about the banner. ”

I didn’t. It’s been swallowing a lot of posts lately, don’t know why.
