3/11/08 Box Score: Sonics 107 Pacers 114

I inturrupt this battle to save the Sonics to report another hard fought loss by your Seattle Supersonics. In a flashback to the 50’s, the Pacers started 4 white guys tonight, thankfully they didn’t utilize the short shorts and tight jerseys.
The Pacer’s front line killed us, even without Jermaine O’Neal.
Kevin Durant led the Sonics with 27 points on 7 of 14 shooting. Durant got to the line a good bit tonight and was 12-13 from the charity stripe. Jeff Green and Nick Collison both added 15 points.

You know what sucks about all of this, I do not even care about what happens in the actual games anymore. Win, loose, Durant scores 50pts. I just can not get excited any more for a team that may leave because of the incompetence of our politicians and David Stern. This sucks and my Finals week is coming up. How am i suppose to study when all I can think about is how stupid Frank Chopp, Christine Gregiore and who ever else is screwing up this ideal plan that is in front of them?

Fourth time in four games that Kevin Durant has shot at least fifty percent from the field. Jeff Green has hit five of his ten three-point attempts this month. Both players seem to finally be making solid progress at the same time.

Yeah sounds like Kevin and Jeff are progressing very well. Hopefully they can keep it up for the remainder of the season and come back next season bigger and better and ready to rock.

Not to be too nit-picky… but if Durant’s playing 38 minutes he absolutely has to do better than 2 boards and 0 dimes.

God does the team still play anymore….
What a miserable road trip during a stressful season.
I know all the guys would say that this off the court stuff doesn’t affect them but that is bullshit. They are human beings and it is hard for them to deal with uncertainty, public spotlight, constant questions. It really sucks and it affects their jobs.

Brian is right about the off court stuff. Once this is all over and we need to recognize them for their courageous and professionalism. So they will be appreciative with everything is going on. But wait until this matter is over.

I know this has to affect them.

- I was going to point this out…it looks like the kids are starting to figure it out a little bit. Add a couple more rebounds and a couple more assists and this is the kind of game you should expect from KD when he is a “superstar”

Also, Earl’s shooting has stayed consistent making him at least a reasonable person to be on the court. I can’t even explain to people who didn’t watch the game how quickly Travie Diener went by Ridnour for a layup in the last minute fo the game.

Flip’s abuse of Luke on the baseline was the closing highlight on NWCN last night.
March 12th, 2008 at 1:30 pm
What I noticed, and was disturbed about, last night was the ease and quickness in which they gave up without a fight in the fourth quarter.
Fatigue from the roadtrip? Perhaps. But the sign of a good team is how the veterans ramp it up and find that next gear to kick it into when the game is on the line. I thought defensively they went through the motions. If PJ truly wants to win then give Wilcox lots of playing time for the first three quarters, but he shouldn’t be in there with Collison sitting on the bench when it’s crunch time and defensive stops are needed.
In my opinion Presti better bring in at least one solid vet this summer who has experience on a winning team and knows how to handle the fourth quarter pressure. He’s set the table for an aquisition or two with his trades. Now he better fill in the blanks.
