Remember the meet-up at Ozzie’s before the game! Unfortunately I can’t be there (sick girlfriend) but will be with y’all in spirit …

Durant in March:
FG: 7.7-14.8, 51.977%
FT: 5.4-6.1, 89.041%
0.92 steals, 0.67 blocks, 3.6 rbs, 2.1 assists
20.9 points per game
March 24th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
If he can get his rebounds up to 6, his asts up to 4 and his FT attempts to 8 then he will hit my expectations over the next couple of years.

I expect Smooth to bulk up after his rookie campaign so he can sustain more contact, grab more rebounds and block more shots within the Key. His assists should go up with better ball movement and a more team-oriented mentality by the Sonics as Durant’s passing ability is tremendous in it’s infantile state. Kobe describes Durant as the longest playa in the league and more core strength will facilitate growth beyond expectations. Durant’s shoes are D-Smooths? There’s already a Big Smooth, how about Durant being Little Smooth, or how bout Slim Smooth or just Slim?

^ what!? how about Kevin Durant.
By the way, how do his shoes perform on-court?

Tomorrow the league owners on the relocation committee are to tour the Ford Center. Maybe we should all hop a plane and put SOS banners at every entrance.

How about portraits of the new vision of Key Arena be displayed outside of the Ford Center for the relocation committee to witness.

I think it’s safe to assume that Stern and the owners are going to ignore Ballmer’s group and the City’s arena plan for the time being, and go ahead and approve Bennett’s request to relocate, pending the outcome of the court date in June.
Only after the City wins the lawsuit and it’s official that Bennett is stuck here through 2010, a lameduck team with an alienated fanbase, and only after the City continually rejects all Bennett’s offers of a lease buyout - then and only then will there be an outcry within the NBA to seriously consider the local solution.
Remember - Bennett only needs 16 votes to relocate. There are at least 16 idiot owners in the NBA, who probably don’t know the real story of what’s happened here in the past 2 years.

Presti signed Eddie Gill and apparently he’ll play tonight as Watson is out.
March 24th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
oops, Watson maybe is ready to play, along with Elson.
March 24th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Gill is a few months shy of 30. Was off to perhaps his best start in New Jersey last fall- overall and particularly shooting and defensive rebounding- but fell victim to roster numbers game, desire to clear path for Marcus Williams and his high turnover rate could have been a factor too.

Minor footnote to past story:
Sonics official site “game coverage” map of NBA added a green dot for Seattle to their map and moved the Denver dot pretty much back to true geographic location, a slide west from the location that suggested OKC previously.

March 24th, 2008 at 8:44 pm
I hear chanting “let’s go Sonics”.
March 24th, 2008 at 8:53 pm
end of 3rd and up by 8. If Rid did this consistantly there’d be no debate.
March 24th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
eddie gill on a 10 day, we he a summer league guy?
March 24th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
Ginobililand, I went to your site. Nice name, design.
Thanks for reporting on Sonics situation in your article. I see you are in sport journalism as a profession. Good luck with it.
Any Argentianians likely for this year’s draft? Anyone we should know and keep an ear open about?
March 24th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
I think Gill was in 2001 training camp
March 24th, 2008 at 9:16 pm
“Save our Sonics” chant was loud in the third quarter, and the 4th.
Eddie Gill played on the Weber State team that played Key Arena during March Madness the time before they hosted it last. Dude is old.
March 24th, 2008 at 9:18 pm
listening on radio… the ’save our sonics’ chant is loud, very noticiable and pinto just mentioned it. good work y’all who are there!
March 24th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
Good SOS tv coverage during Durant’s free throws at the end.
March 24th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
Watson a second round pick beat out Gill and Anthony Johnson then for 3rd or 4th string PG spot. That duel was pretty close I recall.
March 24th, 2008 at 9:23 pm
Now that is the type of game we all want to see KD play and Jeff Green play every night. I didnt get it at the end…it almost made it look like KD was crying.
March 24th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
I wondered if Presti would try a young guy but I guess they were more after stability than prospect evaluation. Bringing in a young guy might have ruffled feathers. That may not have been worth it now.
March 24th, 2008 at 9:27 pm
Durant career high 9 rebounds.

Any Argentianians likely for this year’s draft? Anyone we should know and keep an ear open about?
i dont think so any argentianians enter to draft. In this moment the best player is a point guard Pablo Prigioni (TAU Ceramica) is not a young.
thanks Crow for visit my website.
Watch the video highlights of NBA in my web the day before the everygame.
March 24th, 2008 at 10:46 pm
Sure G.
I see Prigioni is a decent vet but not a draft consideration.
Do you have an opinion on Galinari?
March 24th, 2008 at 10:53 pm
Myk: Webster popped KD in the eye on the last play.
March 24th, 2008 at 11:06 pm
Do you have an opinion on Galinari?
he is a good prospect. is young. Is a good shooter but is not a good defender but he is in a bad team. In the nba he maybe play us shooting guard. he got experience in national teams.
March 24th, 2008 at 11:09 pm
Crow, You see Rudy Fernandez? He is a player like Ginobili with more shooting but not good defender like manu
March 24th, 2008 at 11:40 pm
Right. Wonder when Blazers get him and how it will work out.
