Didn’t watch the last half of the game, listened to it on the radio and was extremely frustrated by our lack of production in the beginning of 4th quarter. The game could’ve been had if we made ONE SHOT during that stretch.
Not having the pleassure to watch it on t.v., it SOUNDED like Bibby and Artest just went off on us in the end… I’m probably the biggest Luke supporter here but after his ill-adviced article… man this game certainly didn’t work well for his case….
The bright spots go to Swift and Wilcox.
Swift was holding down the fort while WILCOX grabbed 19 boards. After a series of low-rebounding games, this is certainly a bright spot for Wilcox.. Now we just need him to do that night in and night out, he’ll be a max player for sure if he can.

Another reason I just love Bob Hill:
“When somebody like that gets confused and distracted, you are not going to play as well. And when you put things in the newspaper, it puts more pressure on you. The pressure comes right back on your head. Not mine. Not your teammates. Right back on your head. ”
Have I ever mentioned that he just says exactly what is on his mind? The guy gives great quotes.

Tell us what you really think, Bob.
Tonight’s loss was all Ridnour and Lewis. They were running the wilting lilly defensive formation all night.
Saddest highlights of the evening were the fact that Ridnour was 2-10 shooting, when, at least half of those shots were wide open. Also, Lewis managed 4 boards in 33 minutes. How can you be 6′10-11″ and grab only 4 boards? In 33 minutes you’re likely to be hit in the head by more than 4 balls bouncing off the rim just by being there.

Too bad Artest wasn’t torching Peja last night.

I can’t believe no one ever blames Ray for our losses… He has a knack for making ill-advised passes that become turnovers…
He had 2-3 bad passes in the fourth quarter that if he shoots or makes a better pass we have a chance to score and take the momentum… but he doesn’t and the other team gets the ball…
Sometimes Ray just makes horrible passes and they cost us the game… and that what i think happend last night.

“Tonight’s loss was all Ridnour and Lewis. They were running the wilting lilly defensive formation all night.”
I don’t think that’s really fair. Save for Wilcox and Swift, everyone had a hand in this loss. You had the ball handler shooting too much and the shooter handling the ball too much. And the marquee matchup? Well that was no match at all last night. In the Supes defense though, the Kings did seem to benefit from more than a couple of lucky bounces.

Although I only get to see Gamecast, it didn’t look like a bad defense night for ANYONE. Holding the other team to 43% shooting? That’s like Piston-esque numbers…

Hoopster: Everyone had a hand sure, that’s how losses generally are. But those two were abused. When you’re abused and don’t retaliate, you have no pride. Ray Allen made a bunch of stupid mistakes last night, but when it came down to it you could see he was trying to ‘will’ them to win. It didn’t work out. That’s fine.
But last night, the SAD thing to see was like when Rashard tried to get aggressive once and post up Artest, he got ripped in the most painful to watch way ever. After that, he turned into the chicken he is and disappeared again. Same for Luke. I think his neck must be sore after cocking to the side to see Bibby blow past him every time down the court.

And if Bibby blows by you this year, there’s a problem. He’s not the 2001 Mike Bibby.

I completely agree with Griff. Not saying that ray was the #1 culprit for last night’s loss but he was definitely trying to make passes that weren’t there or that guys like Petro couldn’t handle. There was a little too much trying to show off last night.
